Buttercake & Cream

03 December 2009

Once known as Peaberry & Pretzel, Buttercake & Cream is fast becoming a popular place for dinner and desserts in Sunset Way, which if you hadn't known by now is a little bubble of activity in Clementi. This post is partly meant to entice the food bloggers who live on the Eastern part of the island (listen up Elaine, Angeline and Janelle!) who have yet to make their way here to the West. I've already covered the delightful Chocolate Pudding in the Peaberry & Pretzel post, so all I have here is two delicious ice-cream sundaes :)

Mint Condition: 4/5

My Christmas Sundae haha! I'm starting to like mint (choc-chip) ice-cream a lot more than I used to. This sundae looks simple but it sure is a joy to eat - the crisp and flavourful almond crumble combined so well with the mint ice-cream, and I managed to finish it up nicely even after such a filling dinner.

Chocolate Overload

One of the house favourites, the chocolate overload features scoops of chocolate ice-cream, chocolate chips, chocolate cake and of course, chocolate sauce. A real overload as the name suggests! The next time I'm here, I would go for the "Berry Berry Good" - how does homemade vanilla ice-cream with mixed berries, almond crumble and strawberry sauce sound to you? :)

Service
Excellent.

Price
$7 each.

Place
106 Clementi Street 12 #01-52, Sunset Way.
